Mark F. Makower

Attorney (Retired)

Mark started representing community associations almost immediately after graduating law school and lead the field of community association law in Michigan for much of his career. Along with Stephen Guerra and Nathaniel Abbate, Mark is one of the founding partners of the firm and retired after practicing law for more than 35 years. He enjoys golfing, boating and spending time with his family.

  • Served as Chairman of the State Bar of Michigan’s Real Property Law Section 
  • Responsible for the substantial rewrite of the Michigan Condominium Act in 2001 and 2002
  • Was a frequent speaker on community association law for the Institute of Continuing Legal Education, Real Property Law Section of the Michigan State Bar, Lorman and Community Associations Institute
  • Written numerous articles on community association law in national and local publications
  • Selected as a “Super Lawyer” by Michigan Super Lawyers continuously since 2008
